New York, NY July 17, 2006 - Alexander Allen heats up Summer ‘06 in the most “fashionable way” as he prepares to bring the masses some “fire”. Alexander Allen’s work will be featured four (4) times in the September issue of Essence Magazine as he styled the Beauty Profile section with make-up artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath. He was also able to lend his magic touch in the Beauty Fashion Feature story and the Savoy story - A Tribute to Harlem. And if that was not enough, Alexander reunited with R&B Songstress and Grammy award winner MONICA in the Essence Culture story.

Alexander just landed a project with world renowned Fashion Designer and TV host of The Isaac Mizrahi Show, Isaac Mizrahi for the Style/E! Entertainment Network. The project will consist of Alexander and Isaac Mizrahi developing the image and album packaging on an up and coming female group called V3. “I’m totally looking forward to collaborating with Isaac Mizrahi on this project. His collections and runway shows were always creative, innovative and entertaining. And he’s still pushing the envelope today in more ways than one. So, to work with him from conception to execution is surreal. “, says Alexander. The project will begin shooting on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in New York city (stay tuned for air dates).

This is just the beginning; Alexander’s creative touch will be seen on TV LAND and a variety of other networks, as he just completed his work with the man, the legend, himself, MR. T. “Big Al” as Mr. T, calls Alexander spearheaded the look for the print and TV advertisement/marketing campaign for TV Land’s/Mr. T’s reality show “I Pity The Fool”.

Having transformed Eve from ‘round- the- way-girl to red carpet must-see; to draping R&B songstress Monica in Ferre’ and Gaultier for her various editorials; to adding his magical touch to Singer/Actress Beyonce’ for People’s Magazine Top 50 Most Beautiful People; to spicing-up Oscar nominated actress Laura Linney and funk- tifying rock star P!nk, there is no doubt that Alexander Allen is a force to be reckoned with.

But long before Alexander began outfitting high profile divas, the Brooklyn native, was dressing far less notable figures. “All my friends in high school and college would ask me for my advice about what to wear to the parties,” Allen recalls. Though he always had a passion for clothing, it was not until Alexander graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and returned home to New York that he began to pursue his life long dream of being in the fashion industry. He landed a prestigious internship at Marie Claire Magazine, where he handled both the clothing and accessories market. After Marie Claire, Alexander headed to the public relations department at DKNY, where he coordinated appointments with prominent fashion editors and helped generate press for the collection.

It wouldn’t be long before Alexander began working for Cosmopolitan as a freelance fashion assistant. While at Cosmopolitan he built a sizeable rolodex, calling houses like Hermes, Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Marc Jacobs. “I was responsible for securing the designer clothing used in a number of the magazine’s shoots, including a lot of the covers.” says, Allen. In 1999, Alexander returned to DKNY, where a public relations assistant position was created for him. Working in the PR department exposed Alexander to various aspects of the fashion industry, including styling.

After assisting a top stylist for one job, Alexander was hooked. “I knew right then and there, that styling would be my profession of choice.” Luckily for him, that one job led to many more assisting opportunities to work on projects for the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin and the sultry Toni Braxton. He slowly built up his own clientele, working on projects for various magazines to now being one of the most sought-out leading fashion stylists in the country.

In 2001, Alexander took the plunge and started his own company Transformers, Inc. A celebrity fashion styling company, which specializes in transforming a client’s already existing image and/or formulating a new artist’s image from it’s current state to A-list status. Since then he has worked with everyone from Grammy award winner songstress Beyonce’, Grammy award winning group Destiny’s Child, Columbian superstar Shakira, American Idol Winner Fantasia to Tony nominated actress Sanaa Lathan, R&B ingénue Amerie, R&B singer Joe and female rapper Trina, just to name a few.

In Fall/Winter of 2006, Alexander will continue to create trends and give our celebrities that “it-look” as he gears up for the possibility of “round 2″ with one of his superstar clients. Stay tuned for the next Alexander and “Diddy’” collaboration and be on the look-out for Alexander’s transformation of VH1’s newest pop sensation. Do not miss Alexander’s Urban High Fashion Swimsuit features for COMPLEX Magazine and COMPLEX.com, as well as the ENYCE Fall/Winter 2006 ad campaign, coming to a city near you.!

When not outfitting his coterie of divas, Alexander can be found dishing out style advice on BET, MTV, STYLE Network and on E!, among others. Alexander also supports various organizations, such as, The National Foundation for Cancer Research and his alma mater, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School Foundation. And of course, he can always be found shopping. “But the sad thing,” says Alexander chuckling, “is that it’s rarely for me.”
