Archival boutique label, /Document Records/ has released a remix of
Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s classic from 1944, “What Is The Soul Of Man”.
The remix, courtesy of dance specialist Cherry Sheriff, brings in
drums and bass over the original vocal line, and is notable in Europe
as the theme accompanying advertising for car manufacturer Alfa Romeo.
has made the remix available as a commercial single, due to
demand.
