VERBS RELEASES “THE GROUNDWORK 3P” IN ANTICIPATION OF ALBUM TITLED THE GROUNDWORK THEORY
3-song EP to be available digitally combined with “Win A Trip To Africa With VERBS” contest
1280 Music recording artist VERBS introduces his creative and uplifting music laced with raw lyricism to the culturally-starved fans of Hip-Hop with his EP “The GroundWork 3P,” the precursor to his awaited album The GroundWork Theory. The EP will be available digitally on the 1280 Music Web site September 12, 2006.
Formerly known as Knowdaverbs, VERBS serves up a vision for the future of Hip-Hop music with The GroundWork Theory. Instead of dishing out an album covering topics such as violence, drugs and misogyny, VERBS utilizes his God-given talent to speak out about life and its purpose. After making a trip to South Africa as an ambassador for high school assembly programs and performing around the world as part of various missions, his aim is to show that this message transcends language and cultural barriers.
A former host of TVU/Sky Angel Network’s Planet Hip-Hop, VERBS has been featured on BET’s “Teen Summit” and “Rap City.” He has also participated in “The Train Station: Hip-Hop Learn Shops” which are designed to teach the foundational basics of Hip-Hop culture to youths ages 12-20. The four elements (DJ, MC, Graf and B-Boyin’) are explained and taught by VERBS and his team. The program delves deeper, encouraging the youths to look beyond the superficial and utilize their talents for the bigger picture.
Launching in conjunction with the digital release of the EP is the “Win A Trip To Africa With VERBS” contest. Everyone who buys the EP will be automatically entered into the contest to win an all-expenses paid trip to Africa with VERBS. The contest runs through January 1, 2007, with the trip taking place in the first weeks of April. The winner that is drawn will also be able to bring a guest, with all expenses paid for them as well, on the trip.
