Little Brother Separate, Remaining Members To Leak Mixtape

After long time rumors, Durham, North Carolina hip hop group *Little
Brother* officially announced the departure of their producer *9th
Wonder*. The remaining members *Big Pooh* and *Phonte* stated the break up was due to artistic differences but were quick toemphasize the duo’s future releases and impending deal breakup with *Atlantic*. Little Brother’s yet-to-be released album, */Get Back/*, may or may not see the light of day with their current label Atlantic records. Pooh defended, “it wasn’t a situation where they decided to drop us due to lack of sales. If that was the case, they never would have opened up the budget for us to record /Getback/. We as a group just felt that it was not in our best interest to remain in a situation where our needs were constantly being overlooked.”

In the meantime, Little Brother have teamed up with fellow *DJ Mick
Boogie* to release a mixtape entitled /*And Justus For All*/, which
will contain nearly 100% original material from the Little Brother family.
In hopes of causing the same commotion of Talib Kweli/Madlib’s
internet “leaked” album, /And
Justus For All/ will be available to download free of charge. Mick vaunted to
*SOHH*, “while everyone is saying hip-hop is dead, on February 13 the Mick Boogie/Little Brother team will show that hip-hop is alive and
better than ever.”
