Snoop Dogg’s “Hood Of Horror” Fright Flick in Theaters May 4

Los Angeles–Monday, April 16, 2007–Snoop Dogg is horror-core as the devilishly smooth, psycho-logical host of SNOOP DOGG’S HOOD OF HORROR, a ghetto gothic anthology featuring three blood soaked stories presented in the time honored discipline of violent vignettes vis-a-vis “Tales From The Crypt.” SNOOP DOGG’S HOOD OF HORROR features a fiendishly frightening blend of live action horror and gore-filled, supernatural anime sequences created by Japan’s Madhouse (ANIMATRIX, TOKYO GODFATHER, VAMPIRE HUNTER D) under the supervision of Academy Award winner John Gaeta (THE MATRIX TRILOGY). SNOOP DOGG’S HOOD OF HORROR has been rated R by the MPAA for pervasive strong violence, gore, sexuality, nudity and language.

Variety described the film as “Gleefully disgusting,” and a long time industry insider said: “This is the first studio quality horror film I’ve seen in a long time unapologetic in its offensiveness and blood splattered gore. In addition to Snoop Dogg, the film stars Daniella Alonso ( Maxim Girl, THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2), Pooch Hall (The Game), Billy Dee Williams (STAR WARS), Brande Roderick (Starsky & Hutch; Baywatch: Hawaii), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Method Man (The Wire, Wu Tang), Ernie Hudson ( Ghostbusters I & II; THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE), Aries Spears (JERRY MAGUIRE, MAD TV), and NBA stars Lamar Odom and Tayshaun Prince (Cast members are available for interviews).

Directed by Academy Award nominee Stacy Title (THE LAST SUPPER, DOWN AT THE WATERFRONT) SNOOP DOGG’S HOOD OF HORROR is a place where revenge is a dish served cold … in a 40 oz. The Hound of Hell (Snoop Dogg) is your guide through three terrifying tales from this nefarious neighborhood and its depraved denizens, including a tagger who finds out that not all gangstas die hard; a spoiled heir to a Texas oil dynasty who murders for money but can’t pay to stay alive; and a major rap star that discovers he’s got a few skeletons in his dressing room … and they’re kicking down the door. This bone chilling, gut bursting (literally) anthology proves once and for all: “It AIN’T all good in da Hood!”

SNOOP DOGG’S HOOD OF HORROR was produced by Social Capital Films, BloodWorks, and Snoopadelic Films, and is distributed by Xenon Pictures, Inc. The film was c0-written by Jonathan McHugh, who shares producing credit with Martin Shore, Ted Chung, and Christopher Tuffin. Executive producers are Martin Shore, Snoop Dogg, John Baca, and Gordon Steel.
